How to use Hashtag Organizer

Hashtag Organizer turns a messy pile of hashtags, or a whole caption, into a clean set that's ready to copy. It finds hashtags in any language, removes duplicates whatever their case, ignores the # in links, and lets you pick the order and layout. It works in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

  1. 1

Paste your hashtags or a whole caption into the box.

  2. 2

Check the list of hashtags. Press the × on any you don't want, or type one into Add a hashtag.

  3. 3

Choose an order: as typed, A to Z, shortest first or longest first. Tick Make all lowercase if you like.

  4. 4

Pick how to copy them: one line, one per line, below the caption or with commas.

  5. 5

Press Copy hashtags, or Copy with caption spacing to paste them straight after your caption.

Common questions

How are duplicates removed?

Hashtags are compared without caring about case, so #Sunset, #sunset and #SUNSET count as one. The first spelling you typed is kept, unless you choose Make all lowercase.

Does it work with other languages and accents?

Yes. Hashtags in any language are found, including accented letters like #café and scripts like #東京. Emoji and punctuation end a hashtag, so #sunset! becomes #sunset.

What happens to links with a # in them?

Links are skipped, so the # in a web address like example.com/#top isn't treated as a hashtag.

How many hashtags can I use?

Each app sets its own limit, and those limits change. The tool shows how many unique hashtags you have so you can check against the app you're posting to.

Is Hashtag Organizer free?

Yes. It's always free, with no sign up and no limit on how often you use it.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your text and hashtags are never uploaded or stored. Only your settings are remembered on this device.
