Terms of Use

The free plan

Anyone can use the tools for free, up to 5 downloads a day. Some tools, marked “Always free”, never count towards the limit. A few tools have their own daily limit, which is shown on the tool. Free downloads have no watermark and are full quality, except where a tool says otherwise before you start (for example, RAW to JPG gives free users a smaller size). Each tool shows how many photos you can work on at once.

The daily count is kept per device and per internet connection so the free plan stays fair for everyone. We may change the free limits at any time.

Credits

• One credit covers one saved image. Tools that make several sizes of one photo (Resize Pack, Social Media Sizes) count every 5 sizes as one. The site always tells you how many credits a download will use before you confirm.
• While you have Pro, downloads don't use credits. Credits you buy stay in your account for when Pro ends.
• Credits you buy never expire.
• Credits belong to your account. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
• New accounts may receive welcome credits. These are a gift, have no cash value, are used before credits you buy, and end 30 days after they're given.
• Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Your bank may add a currency conversion fee.

Pro and renewal

Pro gives you unlimited downloads and larger batches while it is active. Pro is available monthly or yearly.

• Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price you signed up for, until you turn renewal off.
• You can turn renewal off at any time from your account page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
• We email you a receipt each time Pro renews. For yearly plans we also email you before the renewal.
• If we ever change the price of Pro, we will tell you by email before it applies to your plan.
• Pro given as a gift or through a code does not renew and is never charged. It simply ends on the date shown.

Refunds

If something is not right, email hello@myphototools.com and we will sort it out. As a guide:

• Credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the credits have not been used.
• If you forgot to turn off renewal and have not used Pro since it renewed, ask within 14 days and we will refund that renewal.
• If a tool did not work as described, we will refund you or put it right.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other consumer law that applies to you.

Passport, visa and ID photos

Our passport tools use sizes taken from official government sources and are checked regularly. However, rules change and each authority makes its own decisions. Always check the current official rules for your document before you print or submit a photo. We cannot guarantee that a photo will be accepted.

Fair use

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or to edit photos of people in a way that harms or deceives them;
• forge, alter or misuse identity documents, signatures or official records;
• get around the free limits or payment, for example with many accounts, scripts or bots;
• overload, copy, scrape or attack the site.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close an account for any other reason, we will refund unused credits and any unused part of Pro.

Your photos and rights

Your photos stay on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use and edit the images you open. The site's design, name and code belong to My Photo Tools and may not be copied without permission.

Liability

We work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, but they are provided as they are. Please check your results before you rely on them, and keep your original photos. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will email account holders about any important change. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
