How to use Blur
Blur an image online to soften the whole photo, or blur just the top and bottom for a tilt-shift look that makes a scene look like a model. It suits background images, soft-focus effects and moody photos. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

Common questions
How do I blur the background of a photo?
Choose Edges only, then move the sharp band over your subject and set its size. The top and bottom of the photo fade into blur while the band stays sharp. It works in horizontal bands, so it suits landscapes and street scenes more than portraits.
How do I make a tilt-shift photo online?
Pick Edges only, place the sharp band across the part you want in focus, keep the band fairly thin and raise the Strength. A high viewpoint makes the miniature effect much stronger.
Can I blur several photos at once?
Yes. Add up to 5 photos at a time on the free plan, or 50 with credits or Pro. The same settings apply to each one and you can download them all as one ZIP.
Is the blur tool free?
Yes. Saving one photo is free and doesn't use any of your downloads. Several at once use one download each, and the free plan gives you 5 a day at full quality with no watermark. Bought credits never expire and Pro is unlimited.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The blur is worked out on your own device and your photos never leave it.
