How to use Sepia

Add a sepia filter to a photo and give it the warm brown look of an old print. It suits family photos, wedding shots and anything you want to feel a bit vintage. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

  1. 1

Choose your photos, or drop them anywhere on the page.

  2. 2

Move the Strength slider from subtle to full vintage until it looks right.

  3. 3

Drag across the photo to compare before and after.

  4. 4

Pick Save as and Quality, then press Download. With several photos, use Download all as ZIP.

Common questions

How do I make a photo sepia online?

Add your photo, set the Strength slider and press Download. The preview shows exactly what you will save.

Can I make a photo only slightly sepia?

Yes. Keep the Strength slider low for a gentle warm tint, or push it to 100 per cent for a full vintage tone.

Can I add sepia to several photos at once?

Yes. You can add up to 5 photos at a time on the free plan, or 50 with credits or Pro, and save them all as one ZIP.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The sepia effect is applied in your browser on your own device, and your photos never leave it.

Is the sepia filter free?

Yes. Saving one photo is free and doesn't use any of your downloads. Several at once use one download each, and the free plan gives you 5 a day at full quality with no watermark. Bought credits never expire and Pro is unlimited.
