How to use Smart Crop
Smart Crop crops a photo to an exact shape or size, like 1:1 square, 4:5 for Instagram or 16:9. You can also crop to exact pixels, or to a print size in mm, cm or inches. It works in your browser and your photo is never uploaded.

Choose a photo, or drop it anywhere on the page.

Pick a Shape, such as 1:1 Square or 5:7 Print. Use Flip to swap portrait and landscape.

Drag the box to move it and drag a corner to resize. Pinch or scroll to zoom.

For an exact size, set Exact size to Pixels or Print and type the size.

Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, then press Download.
Common questions
How do I crop a photo to a specific size?
Set Exact size to Pixels and type the width and height, then move the box over the part you want. Your crop is saved at exactly that size.
How do I crop an image to 4:5 for Instagram?
Choose the 4:5 Instagram shape and drag the box where you want it. For exact pixels, set Exact size to Pixels and type 1080 × 1350.
How do I crop a photo for printing?
Set Exact size to Print, pick mm, cm or in, and type the print size. Leave Print quality at 300 DPI for sharp photo prints.
Can I crop several photos at once?
Yes. Add a batch and they line up along the bottom. Each photo keeps its own crop, shape and straighten, so they can all be different. Use Copy this crop to all for the same crop on every photo, then Download all saves them as one ZIP.
Is my photo uploaded when I crop it?
No. The crop is done in your browser, from your original photo, on your own device.
