Common questions

How do I rename multiple photos at once?

Add them all, type a name, choose your numbering, and press Download all as ZIP. Every photo gets a new name in order.

How do I rename photos by date taken?

Set the Order to Date taken and choose Before or After under Date taken. The date is added as YYYY-MM-DD and the photos are numbered oldest first.

Does batch renaming change the photo quality?

No. The files are copied byte for byte. Only the names change, so the quality and camera details are exactly as they were.

Is batch rename free?

Yes. It is always free, and the ZIP never counts towards the daily download limit.

Are my photos uploaded to rename them?

No. Everything happens in your browser and your photos never leave your device.
