Copyright Tagger
Add your name and copyright to photos. Free for 20 at a time.
Anything not kept is removed, including old names and notices, so each photo carries only what you choose.
Up to 200 photos at once.
How to use Copyright Tagger
Add your name, copyright notice and contact details to your photos' hidden data, where Lightroom, Photoshop, Windows, macOS and most photo sites can read them. Free for up to 20 photos at a time, or a whole shoot of up to 200 at once with credits or Pro. The pictures aren't re-saved, so there's no loss of quality, and nothing is uploaded.
- 1
Type your name. The copyright notice fills itself in, and you can change it.
- 2
Add your email and website if you like, and choose what to keep from the originals: camera and settings, date and time, location.
- 3
Choose your photos, or drop them anywhere on the page. JPG, PNG and WebP work.
- 4
Press Save. One photo downloads on its own; several come as a ZIP.
Common questions
How do I add copyright to a photo?
Type your name and copyright notice, add your photos and press Save. Your details are written into each photo's EXIF and XMP data.
Where is the copyright saved?
In the photo's hidden data: EXIF Artist and Copyright, and XMP creator, rights and contact details. It isn't printed on the picture. To put your name on the picture itself, use Add Watermark.
Does it change the photo's quality?
No. Only the hidden data is changed. The picture itself isn't re-saved.
Is Copyright Tagger free?
Yes. Batches of up to 20 photos are free for everyone and don't use any of your 5 daily downloads, as many times as you like.
How many photos can I do at once?
Up to 20 photos at a time for free. With credits or Pro, up to 200 at once: a batch of more than 20 uses 1 credit, or is included with Pro. Very big batches are saved in a few ZIPs so they fit.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your photos and your details never leave your device.
